This post contains some valuable information for you if you want to build traffic
-don’t skim…
So, I’m surfing around and decide to check out how many people each day are searching for “submit web2.0″ as I am going to share an excellent resource with you for quickly submitting your site to dozens of Web 2.0 sites (this part has nothing to do with [Tag-self]Dogpile[/Tag-self])
Anyway I go to check at Wordtracker and decide to check out the daily search volume for “Submit”. I was suprised to see that “tons” of people are interested in submitting their site to Dogpile.
Check out the following results
(Daily Search Volume) - from the [TAG-Tec]Free Wordtracker[/TAG-Tec] tool which gets its information from meta search engines like [TAG-Tec]Dogpile[/TAG-Tec]..

I go to Google to check the results for “submit url to dogpile” and see:
So you see some outdated submission services and outdated info from Dogpile’s site (which is #4)
So, now I’m thinking “I’ve hit keyword gold - how long will it take me to rank #1 for some of these terms and start getting a bunch of [TAG-Tec]highly-targeted-visitors[/TAG-Tec] to my site. (I just made that word up and tagged it with Technorati, I’ll show you how to do this soon on another post…)

The following is a dumb question for an intelligent reader:
“What if you could get as many high quality links
as you wanted for free?
Seriously..
You work at it, but it’s not hard at all!
(This is not about some lame tactic by someone
in his basement spamming Craigslist…)
It’s about being a real Pro at this game and it’s easier
than you think.”
It all starts here:

Ok - back to the story. This is now a test to see if I can snag a bunch of visitors on those keywords by using some hot [TAG-Tec]one way link building strategies[/TAG-Tec] .
Will I get it? -my blog is an infant, 11 days young today… (I backdated the first post)
So what happened in the search for dogpile submissions?- The Wikipedia result for Dogpile was a bit lame. (Until I contributed to it and got a nice “no follow” link to my site. Why is that nice? Wikipedia links bring in a nice steady supply of visitors…)
Then I found another outdated site with a bit of info and learned how this works.
What is Dogpile? If you’ve never heard of Dogpile they pull results from: [TAG-Tec]Google[/TAG-Tec],
[TAG-Tec]Yahoo[/TAG-Tec],
Live Search,
[TAG-Tec]Ask[/TAG-Tec] and more (all the big guys).
Their Alexa ranking today is 2,935 (they’re the 2,935th busiest site on the web.
How to Submit your Site to Dogpile?
Here’s how it works. You have to get your site onto one of Dogpile’s partner sites first and then you are added to Dogpile. (quite quickly)
These are the partner sites:
GoTo, Looksmart, FindWhat, About.com, Direct Hit, Google, Infoseek, Lycos, Altavista, Yahoo!
How to get on the Partner Sites for Free:
If you blog it’s really easy. Simply submit your feed to Yahoo! and they will index your site. If you have a regular site, Yahoo! has a new free submission url.
*If anyone has experience with the Yahoo! free submit tool, please comment about it..
**If you want to speculate about Why Dogpile is so hot right now, please comment…
Updates coming…

Funny you should mention this. I made a small blurb on my Squidoo lens about submitting your URL to ask, namely that you cannot submit to ask at this time, and that term gets plenty of hits! Weird.
